The longest active home winning streak in Division II football belongs to Slippery Rock University after the 10th ranked Rock held off No. 19 Assumption College, 41-39, Saturday in the second round of the NCAA playoffs at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium. A year ago when Slippery Rock's offense lined up on the field, a starry-eyed redshirt freshman named Shamar Greene lined up in the backfield alongside standout quarterback Nigel Barksdale. Three PSAC squads set to play in NCAA Tournament
It was announced Sunday night that three teams from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference would be playing in the Division 2 Men's Basketball Championship. IUP, East Stroudsburg, and Slippery Rock were all selected as part of an eight-team regional and 64-team tournament set to kickoff this weekend.
