The Wheeling Nailers, the Pittsburgh Penguins ECHL affiliate have had a busy week as they inked their fourth player for a contract for the upcoming season. This time it was defenseman Jake Areshenko who re-signed with the club. Wheeling Nailers re-sign Tyler Fernandez
The Wheeling Nailers added some goal scoring punch to the lineup on Monday when they announced the re-signing of forward Tyler Fernandez. The 25-year old got an opportunity last season and took advantage of it. After only appearing in 16 ECHL games throughout his first three professional seasons, Fernandez appeared in 54 games last year with the Nailers. He responded by scoring 13 goals with 12 assists.
