The Pittsburgh Riverhounds have released goalkeeper Mauricio Vargas and midfielder Alex Harlley, the team announced Tuesday morning. Vargas’ release came after his request to return to his home country of Costa Rica. The Pittsburgh Riverhounds fell to the Rochester Rhinos by a final of 3-0 Saturday night, wrapping up the Rhinos' three-game sweep of the the Riverhounds.
