Midway through the first quarter, Gannon fans thought it was the same script all over again. Their Lady Knights found themselves down 11-4 to Seton Hill at home, seemingly destined for a fourth-straight loss, and an end to a once promising season. Then the Lady Knights of old showed up. Gannon obliterated Seton Hill in the second quarter by out-scoring the Lady Griffins 21-5, and held on from there to win 64-58, advancing to the PSAC quarterfinals. These were the Lady Knights everyone in ... Read More

PSAC men’s notebook: Seton Hill steals win at Edinboro
Kameron Taylor has a knack for hitting clutch shots in Edinboro’s McComb Fieldhouse. While it was not at the buzzer, the result was the same. Edinboro ... Read More
PSAC women’s notebook: Slippery Rock upsets Gannon
When Slippery Rock’s women’s basketball team upset Gannon on the road a month ago, many saw it as a fluke. That notion was wiped out Saturday evening when Slippery Rock completed its first-ever season sweep of Gannon with a 62-53 win at home on Senior Night. The biggest keys to the Rock’s second upset of Gannon this time was hitting 10 three-pointers, and forcing 20 Lady Knight Turnovers. Slippery Rock’s men’s basketball team did something Saturday night that no other school had done to IUP in 2016 — defeat them. Slippery Rock shot 59.1 percent from the field to end the Crimson Hawks 13-game winning streak, and continues to battle back from a rough start to the season. It was not all bad for IUP, however, as it clinched the regular-season PSAC West title ... Read More
PSAC West Women’s Notebook: Vulcans get revenge against Lady Griffins
When Seton Hill upset Cal in early January at the Convocation Center, Shatara Parsons did not play. The Lady Griffins probably wish Parsons did not play in the rematch at Greensburg yesterday. California (18-5, 15-4) has now won seven straight games and maintained sole possession of first place in the PSAC West. Once again, it was ... Read More
