As PSAC action continues to heat up, the past week has produced a three-way tie atop the PSAC leader board between Gannon, No. 25 IUP and Mercyhurst. As PSAC West teams squared off against each other, plenty of upsets came throughout the league. Seton Hill shocked both Slippery Rock and Cal U during last week's action. Cal U mourning loss of women’s basketball player
Students, athletes, fans, coaches and members of the Cal U community woke to the news that women's basketball player Shanice Clark had passed Sunday morning around 4 a.m. Clark, a 6-foot senior forward from Toronto, Ontario, was reportedly found unresponsive in her apartment on campus early Sunday morning. IUP is historically a program that produces solid results and great players. The Crimson Hawks' point guard, Devante Chance, is just the next one up. A senior, Chance has really elevated his play during the 2014-15 season from his point guard position. Each year the PSAC West and East are pitted against each other multiple times. For one particular weekend, it's called crossover weekend. This year, the West won out over the weekend, going 11-7 against the East. After a rather slow start to the season, the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets men’s’ basketball team has picked things up as of late, mostly riding the shoulders of senior forward Jason Propst.
