At his press conference, Tomlin was asked about the decision before telling the group of reporters “Follow me!” as he was leaving the room.
“It should be exciting. Me delving into the social media world. We talked a lot to to the guys about what to do, what not to do. Figured I should show them.”
– Four former Steelers’ are serving as coaching/scouting interns during camp. Previous players to work as interns have found homes in the Steelers’ front office (Mark Bruener, Chidi Iwuoma)

Onto other football related matters.
– Tomlin announced in his press conference four players would begin the year on the active/PUP list. Heath Miller (knee), Sean Spence (knee), David Johnson (knee), and Alameda Ta’amu (hamstring).
“We’ll take it day by day and monitor their progress.”
This means Mike Adams is cleared to practice and recovered from the stabbing that took place June 1st.
– The most eventful part of Day One was the run/conditioning test. Tomlin called it “productive”.
