Sophomore football player Willie Leavell’s game-deciding punt block brought down the four-time defending Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) champions.
Leavell made the biggest play of Waynesburg’s 2012 season when he blocked a Thomas More punt and, in one continuous movement, pulled the ball in and ran 18 yards to score the deciding touchdown in a 14-10 Yellow Jacket victory. The game-winning effort gave the Jackets their second-straight win over the Saints. On Monday, he was honored as PAC Special Teams Player of the Week.
