The Wheeling Nailers added some goal scoring punch to the lineup on Monday when they announced the re-signing of forward Tyler Fernandez.
The 25-year old got an opportunity last season and took advantage of it.
After only appearing in 16 ECHL games throughout his first three professional seasons, Fernandez appeared in 54 games last year with the Nailers.
He responded by scoring 13 goals with 12 assists.
The 13 goals tied him for fifth on the team.
Prior to joining the Nailers, Fernandez had spent the majority of his pro career in the SPHL, split between four teams.
Fernandez is a player who can play all three forward positions and also can be used on both the penalty kill and power play.
