While Robert Morris’ basketball team continues to fly under the radar, Lucky Jones continues to quietly put up numbers.
This past week with two wins over St. Francis (PA) and LIU Brooklyn, Jones averaged 15.5 points and 5.5 assists. Wednesday night he was perfect from the floor, shooting 3-3 from the field and 13-13 from the free throw line. He’s the first player to be completely perfect since Louisville’s Samardo Samuels did it back in 2010. The game before going 100 percent from the field, he shot a horrifying 21 percent from the field but 43 percent from behind the arc, still mananging to score 11 points and pull in 9 rebounds.
RMU has won 8 of their last 10.
For bouncing back and leading the Coloniels to a 2-0 week, we’re giving the Yinzer of the Week to Lucky Jones.
