Another week, another tough loss for the Pittsburgh Steelers, who have now dropped four of five games. The final result will look like a late interception from Ben Roethlisberger was the difference maker, but while that certainly played a role, there was so much more that went wrong that ultimately cost the Steelers a game. With that being said, let's take a look at my weekly report card following a very tough 27-24 overtime loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Quarterback: Roethlisberger was ... Read More
Pittsburgh Steelers Week 14 Report Card
Just when you think you have this Pittsburgh Steelers team pegged, they turn in a performance like they did against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday, making you realize that after 14 weeks of football, we still have no idea what type of team the Steelers really are. Sunday’s 34-24 loss wasn’t pretty for sure, especially to a team that has never won a regular season game in Pittsburgh and was playing with a lame duck coach in Norv Turner. Thanks to the Dallas Cowboys beating the Cincinnati ... Read More
Do we know Steelers identity?
Who are the real Steelers? Are they the 2-3 team that people were writing off and saying “this season is over already.” Or are they the 4-0 team that has the city believing again and the league talking about them. Let's be honest, the Steelers looked pretty bad through the first five games. They beat two teams that in retrospect are pretty terrible, the Eagles and Jets. Out of their losses, two were to dreadful teams, the Titans and Raiders. This version of the Steelers could have been 4-1 if ... Read More
Has immense wingspan of James Harrison been clipped?
Having the Steelers season now in full throttle, where is the dynamic duo of LaMarr Woodley and James Harrison, most importantly, Harrison? He’s a five time Pro-Bowl linebacker with fearsome abilities to force fumbles, sack quarterbacks and frightfully make his presence known on the field. Yet he has missed the first three 2012 regular season games and continues to be invisible on the stat sheet. The previous four seasons, he mustered 45.5 sacks and well over 200-plus tackles which most outside ... Read More
Steelers avoid the trap game; lose Ben in process
The Pittsburgh Steelers came out of this sloppy Monday night football game with a win in overtime against the Kansas City Chiefs 16-13. But the biggest story may be the injury to quarterback Ben Roethlisberger who ended up leaving the game in the third quarter with an apparent shoulder injury. He did not return to game. Both teams came out fired up for this primetime game on Monday night as the Chiefs got the scoring started in the first quarter on their second drive. Tight end Tony Moeaki ... Read More
Yinzer of the Week: Ben Roethlisberger
It was only a matter of time until Big Ben won the Yinzer of the Week Award. Roethlisberger, as has been the norm, has quietly been of of the top quarterbacks in the league again this season. Roethlisberger has a 101.4 quarterback rating with 14 touchdowns to only three interceptions while throwing for 1,987 yards in the air. With a banged up offensive line and running game, Roethlisberger deserves to be in the MVP discussion. This past week against RG3 and the Redskins, Roethlisberger was ... Read More
Roethlisberger and Manning: Both different, yet so similar
Sunday’s matchup between the Steelers and the New York Football Giants will be one of the marquee games of the week. Only three quarterbacks remain in the NFL with more than one Super Bowl ring, and two of those will face off in the New Meadowlands this Sunday. Both drafted in 2004 in the first round, Eli Manning and Ben Roethlisberger have taken two completely different roads to stardom. Manning stole the headlines in ‘04 with refusing to play in San Diego and ultimately forcing a trade to ... Read More
Pittsburgh Steelers Report Card following Win vs. Redskins
The Pittsburgh Steelers built some momentum Sunday afternoon at Heinz Field, winning their second consecutive game for the first time this season by beating the Washington Redskins 27-12, getting over the .500 mark in the process. From quarterback Ben Roethlisberger engineering four early scoring drives to a defense that made things very tough for highly-touted rookie Robert Griffin III, the Steelers turned in one of their more complete performances of the season. With that being said, it’s ... Read More

The Pittsburgh Steelers are a team desperate for momentum. After Sunday afternoon's performance, they took a big step to building some. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger threw three touchdown passes and the Steelers' defense pressured Redskins' rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III often as the Steelers defeated Washington 27-12 Sunday at Heinz Field, winning back-to-back games for the first time this season. Pittsburgh Steelers Report Card After Win vs. Bengals
Well that was more like it. The Pittsburgh Steelers not only got a much needed road win, but a division win as well Sunday night in Cincinnati. In what could have been their most complete game in a month, the Steelers moved to 3-3, which suddenly ties them for the fourth best record in the AFC, right behind the Houston Texans, Baltimore Ravens and New England Patriots. With the Ravens and Pats having some obvious flaws at the moment, a win streak could put the Steelers right back in the thick ... Read More
